  • America and South Korea have launched their largest joint air force exercise Vigilant Ace so far. This five-day exercise includes 230 aircraft and thousands of soldiers including F-22 Raptor Stealth fighters.
  • Nepal President Bidya Devi Bhandari inaugurated the international conference on climate change. More than 300 experts from different Asian countries like India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Pakistan, Myanmar are participating in the four-day conference.
  • Iranian President Hassan Rouhani inaugurated the newly built area on Chabahar port of strategic importance situated on the southern coast of the country.
  • Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu has launched Deen Dayal Divyajanjan Shanti Scheme at Guwahati on the occasion of International Day of Persons with Disabilities. Under this scheme, every differently abled person from the state will be entitled to receive a grant of Rs. 5000 for his treatment.
  • Indian captain Virat Kohli, became the first captain who has scored six double centuries in Test cricket. He left behind former West Indies captain and legendary batsman Brian Lara, who held the record previously with five double tons in Tests.

  • AYUSH Minister Shripad Yaso Nike inaugurated the 1st International Exhibition and Conference - AROGYA 2017 on AYUSH and Wellness Sector in New Delhi. The main theme of this event is Enhancing the global potential of AYUSH.
  • The Telangana Government will establish the worlds first information and technology (IT) campus for the Divyangas in Hyderabad.
  • Paytm Payments Bank introduced the Paytm FASTag system to enable collection of electronic toll fee on the highways of the entire country.
