Candidates, who clear Preliminary Written Examination are called for mains examination. This paper contains sections like Quantitative Aptitude, Computer Aptitude, English Language, General Awareness and Reasoning. The candidates have to finish the entire paper in 2 hours and 40 minutes. They will face 200 questions in total in the examination and for solving every section there will be sectional time limit. In comparison to previous years, from this year the candidates will get more time to solve the paper.
In this article, we are going to discuss that how the candidates should approach this examination:
To complete the paper on time, the candidates should practice effective management tips, otherwise they will not be able to finish the paper within the given time limit.
As now there is separate time limit for each and every section, the candidates don't need to think about the time in each section. Now the candidates have to finish each section within the given time period and there will be no option to come to finish that section. So, they have to manage time accordingly.
Candidates should not feel panic of the change introduced in the pattern. They should treat it like positive as it is for everybody and everyone has to finish the paper within the given time frame. So, the candidates should not feel of the new examination pattern.
As these two sections are given more time to be wrapped up by the candidates, these are going to see an increase in the cut-off marks. Therefore, the candidates should practice these sections more, so that they do not lose any marks because of stupidity in these two sections.
Candidates should figure out the questions from the sections they have studied and should solve them first. This will help them in solving more questions and also will help them in wrapping up the section within the given time.
This can prove very hazardous for your marks and performance. If you don't know the answer of any question then this is okay to leave that question and move to the other one. By guessing the answers, you may lose several marks.
Confidence is the key to success, candidates should remain confident of what they have studied for the examination and should not feel panic about anything as they got nothing to lose. So, they should be confident about themselves.
