SBI PO: Tips for Computer Awareness Section

SBI PO is going to organize PO examination in the month of April-May in the year 2017 and the mains examination will be conducted in June. The recruitment is done in three phases i.e. prelims, mains and interview/ GD. In the computer mains examination there is computer awareness along with reasoning and the entire section comprise of 60 marks with 45 questions. Time allotted for this section is 60 minutes.

In order to attain mastery over the computer awareness section one has to understand the syllabus and pattern of question from the section. Chapters from which the questions are framed are:

Finish the Syllabus:

This is the first and foremost thing that the candidates need to do after applying for the examination. Candidates should take a book of computers awareness so that you can possess all the relevant information in your brain at least once.

Revise the entire Syllabus:

Candidates should keep a day for revision every week after learning 3-4 chapters. One should decide the day as per his/her convenience. After completing the entire syllabus the candidates should keep a whole week for revising the entire syllabus before the examination. By doing this they will be able to retain information in their mind for a longer time.

Sectional Tests:

One does not need to take computer awareness test as there is no such section like that in the examination. One needs to practice the section by clubbing it with the reasoning aptitude section. Then you have to practice it until you gain the speed and proficiency in it.

Numerical Problems:

SBI PO is a tricky examination and in this you may need to convert one number system into other. For this purpose you need to practice these types of questions. Only by practicing such type of questions you will be able to attain good marks in the examination.

Take Full Length Tests:

Practicing the full length tests are of a great help for the candidates. In order to know about the pressure and type of questions he/she is going to face in the examination, he/she should take full length online mock tests. By doing this they will be able to gain speed and proficiency over the paper and will also be able to score good marks. So, it is essential for the candidates to practice by taking these tests before they appear in the actual examination.

SBI PO is all about quant, reasoning and English section so the candidates should start studying using basic books and should learn the concepts and basics of the problems.
