Time Limit for Each Section in SBI PO Main Exam

State Bank of India issues the recruitment notification every year to recruit the Probationary Officers for its various branches. The recruitment process of the bank comprises of preliminary online test, mains online test and GD cum interview. This year recruitment process is going to be started from the first week of July and the final result is expected to be announced in September. The annual emoluments, which the recruited candidates will get are somewhere between 7.55 lacs to 12.93 lacs per annum depending upon the place of posting.

New Examination Pattern of SBI PO

SBI has made few changes in the examination pattern for the recruitment of PO:

Reduction in Number of Questions: Formerly the paper used to contain 200 multiple choice questions, while now it will contain 155 questions in all.

Fixed Time Limit for Each Section:

The bank has introduced a differentiated system of time allotment for every section. Now candidates will get limited time to solve each section. For reasoning section, they will get 60 minutes, for quant section, they will get 45 minutes, 40 minutes they will get for English language and 30 minutes for General Awareness Section.

Change in Number of Questions in Each Section:

Number of questions in each section has also been changed. Previously, each section of the paper used to contain 50 questions but now reasoning section will be comprising of 45 questions, quaint will contain 35 questions, English section will contain 35 questions and General Awareness section will contain 40 questions.

Change in Allotment of Marks:

Marks allotment for each section has also changed. Quant and Reasoning section will be of 60 marks each. English and General Awareness Section will be of 40 marks each.

Preparation Strategy for SBI Main Examination

Get hold of Basics:

Candidates need to practice the basics for getting good score in any <competitive examination. Once you grab the hold of basics, you will be able to attain good marks in the examination.

Pay Special Attention to Quant Section:

Marks allotment to this section is the highest, so the candidates need to pay special attention to this section. If you are good in mathematics, you will be able to attain good marks automatically.

Practice as per the Time Allotment:

As this scheme has been introduced recently, candidates need to practice the sections as per the time allotment. Initially they will find it difficult but on regular practice, they will get habitual to it.

Take Online Mock Tests:

Online mock tests are one of the best way to prepare well for the examination. These tests are designed as per the examination pattern, so on practicing these on regular basis will help the candidates in scoring good in the examination.
