Find the Transition Words:
The basic purpose of transition words is to make the shift from one idea to another smoothly. They connect the sentences in a logical manner. Some common transition words are also, besides, furthermore, aside from, barring, for example, for instance, likewise, in short, in other words, on the other hand, rather, similarly, in meantime, soon, next, with this mind, conclusion, etc.
Identify Personal Pronouns:
If a sentence contains the personal pronouns like he, she, him, her, it, you, yours, etc. without mentioning the person or the thing, then the chances are that the sentence containing the name of the person, place or thing is the previous sentence of this sentence.
Demonstrative Pronoun:
Sentence containing the demonstrative Pronouns like this, that, these, those without mentioning anything about the noun or the phrase usually means the sentence containing the noun or the phrase must be the previous sentence of this sentence.
Combine Sentences with Logic
Using logic to combine the sentences is one of the best ways to combine the sentences. Aspirants should look for clues and hints to combine the sentences.
Find Acronyms
If some short form is given in a sentence and full form or full name in another sentence. Then the probability is that the sentence containing the full form will come before the sentence containing the short form.
Time Sequence Approach
Arrange the sentences according to proper time sequence identify the time and period and then try to arrange the sentences accordingly. You should look for the words like when, before, later, etc.
Theory Approach
If any sentence is serving as an example then arrange it after the sentence for which it is serving as an example. You should try to analyze the idea behind the sentence and its meaning then you should place the sentences accordingly.
Noun, Adjective and Pronoun Approach
Pronoun comes in the immediate sentence, which contains the respective noun. So, when you find the sentence containing the pronoun place it immediately after the sentence containing the noun referring the pronoun.
Key Words Approach
There are some words which are repeated in more than one sentence. If you come across any two sentences like this, then the chances are that two sentences will be placed in consecutive order.
Structure Approach
Try to link the sentences through logic. You should sort out that what role does a specific word play in the sentence. Words like premise, conclusion, support, example, etc. plays important role in deciding the meaning of the sentence and the sentence that should come after it. So, on seeing any of these words one should see that which sentence should come after it.
