Final selection for the post of IBPS PO is done through the combined score of Mains Written examination and personal interview. Candidates, who qualify the mains written examination are called to appear for personal interview. In this candidates knowledge about several domains is tested. Interview panel contains some of the best professionals of banking industry, so the candidates must prepare well before they appear for the interview. What to do?
- Reach on time. It shows your punctuality and sincerity for work.
- Try to reach the interview place 20-30 minutes earlier than the exact timing.
- Stay confident and dress up wisely for the interview as first impression is the last impression. Do not wear very modern dresses and try to dress up formally.
- Act positively and take the permission of the interviewers before entering the room and taking your seat.
- Pay greetings to the female interviewer first then to all the remaining panels of the interviewers.
- Be honest with whatever information you are providing to the interviewers. Do not convey any excessive information.
- Hear to the question carefully and then speak. If you don't know the answers then tell them that you don't know.
- Make an eye contact with the interviewer and then answer the question with confidence.
- Feeling somewhat nervous is alright but do not let it hamper your preparation. Do not let the anxiousness and stress getting reflected on your face.
- Carry all the relevant original documents with you.
- Pay attention to your body language while appearing for the interview.
- Thanks the interview panel before you leave the interview place.
What not to do?
- Don't chew gum or toffee while you enter the interview room.
- Keep your mobile phone on silent or put it on silent mode.
- Don't boast about anything like your achievements.
- Be precise and answer the question point to point. Don't repeat the same thing again and again.
- Don't argue with the interviewers if your thoughts are not matching with theirs.
- Don't correct yourself again and again. If you think you have made some mistake then answer the other question cautiously.
- Don't speak too fast. Be patient and listen to the question first carefully before giving the answer.
- Speak up in a manner that shows that you have prepared for the interview.
- Display proper behavior, manners and confidence while appearing for the interview.
- Don't lie just about a single thing in front of the panel.
- Don't leave the room without saying thanks to the panel and do not bang the door while leaving.
