Banking Sector announces the most number of recruitment notifications, every year to recruit personnel in different cadres like clerical and probationary officers. Almost every bank including head bank RBI also comes out with these sort of notifications. Several candidates get selected in more than one bank, then there arises the question that which one they should go for as a wrong choice can harm their career. Reserve Bank of India issues notification for the recruitment of clerk in different offices across the nation, whereas SBI PO and IBPS PO are the most sought after banking jobs. RBI Assistant: Job in Central Bank

Salary Allowances:

Candidates, who get selected for the post of Assistant in RBI get initial gross salary of around Rs. 24,000/- and around Rs. 22,000/- in hand salary. In addition to this, they get several allowances like briefcase allowance, medical grant, conveyance allowances, etc.

Promotion:

If the candidates of this post clear the departmental examination, they can get promoted to the Grade A officer cadre but only after 5 years of active service. But later on due to less available vacancies getting a promotion becomes a bit difficult.

Work Pressure:

You have to work only for 5 days in a week and also you don’t have to deal with the customers on daily basis. So, work pressure is comparatively very less in Central Bank.

Social Status:

The name of Reserve Bank of India is enough to garner high reputation in the society. If you want to become a banker and also want to stay in your city, then this is the best available option for you.

Postings:

One of the biggest benefit of getting a job in RBI is that you will get posted in only metro cities or capital of the states.

Job Profile:

This is completely a sitting job in which you have to work for fixed hours. As an assistant you are assigned with all sort of clerical work like replying of mails, making draft replies to RTI applications, etc.

Bank PO: Officer Job

Salary Allowances:

Probationary Officers very high salary in comparison to RBI Assistants. Further, other allowances are also higher in these banks in comparison to RBI. Bank POs get conveyance allowance, briefcase allowance, mobile reimbursement, etc.

Job Profile:

You are appointed as an executive, so the officers appointed at this post must be good at decision making and should have good presence of mind.

Postings:

Unlike RBI Assistant, candidates who get selected in PSBs as PO can get posting at any place across the nation, including rural areas. You, if you want to become a bank PO, you should be ready for getting placed at any place and also for frequent transfers.

Promotion:

If you are competent enough and perform good, you can get frequent promotions and can reach at the position of MD-CEO of the bank.
