Selection through SSC is based on the written examination namely preliminary examination and main written examination followed by personal interview. Candidates have to first clear the preliminary examination in order to qualify for the main written examination. The preliminary examination comprises sections like General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Language. The main written examination comprises sections like Quantitative Abilities and English Comprehension. After clear both these examination, candidates are called for personal interview. For cracking the written examination candidates need to attain proficiency in coding decoding, blood relationships, analogies, Venn diagrams, ranking, etc. For general awareness section, they need to go through the happenings in the world and the country.
