How to Master SSC CGL Online Examination

The Staff Selection Commission CGL has introduced a new examination pattern of conducting online examination for recruting the candidates. It has introduced four tier examination for selecting the candidates:

Tier I: It comprises 100 questions of 200 marks.
Tier II: Same as Tier I, but it is conducted online.
Tier III: In this paper, candidates are called for descriptive paper (Essay/Precise Writing) of 100 marks.
Tier IV: In this Computer Efficiency test is conducted, which the candidates have to qualify.
The Staff Selection Commission conducts online examinations from now onwards, like IBPS, SBI and other banking exams are conducted. There are several benefits of conducting the examination online over conducting them offline, which includes:

Easier to conduct

And it doesn't involve:
  1. Printing of papers
  2. Distribution of papers
  3. Maintaining secrecy of the paper
From now computer screen is the question paper and mouse is the pen.

How to Tackle Online Examination?

As now examinations are going to be conducted online, the candidates need to prepare themselves accordingly.

Basic Knowledge of Computer:

Candidates from the rural background think that they need to be proficient in computers, in order to take online examinations. But it is not so, the candidates are provided with the instructions, which they have to follow during the exam.

Prepare the Subjects Well:

The basic purpose of the test is to check the knowledge of the candidates. So, candidates should focus on the preparation of the subjects rather than focusing on online and offline test.

Online Mock Tests:

This is one of the best way to achieve confidence of taking online test. There are several coaching institutes in India, which are providing online mock test series. Candidates, should take regular tests through which they will be able to attain confidence over themselves.

Time Management:

In online tests, candidates really need to manage time. They should prepare a time table for themselves giving proper time to each suject. This will help them in managing time during the online test.

Follow the Instructions:

Candidates need to follow the instructions carefully, which are given on the first page of the test. They should pay attention to each and every instruction given on the screen, as after ticking the answer, it is not possible to rectify the mistakes.

Candidates shoulf try to attempt the questions, which they have mastered. This will help them in saving time for the other questions.
