Precautions to be Taken at the Time of SSC CGL Examination

SSC CGL is one of the largest recruitment examination conducted every year to recruit eligible and interested candidates for several posts under the Central Government. As this examination is conducted only once in a year the candidates need to be a little bit careful while attempting the examination.

Below we are giving some of the tips for this examination:

Reading Several Books for General Awareness: It has been observed usually that the SSC CGL candidates read several books for the General Awareness section. They purchase separate books for Geography, History, Economics, Political Science, etc. Further they also take help of android apps for reading books over these subjects. This is quite wrong as this only creates confusion in the mind of the candidates. So, the candidates should choose books wisely from the publishers and should follow a single book for the preparation purpose.

Darkening the Circles After Solving all the Questions:

This is very wrong as this may lead to shortage of time to the candidates. Instead of marking answers at the end of the paper they should mark the questions while reading them.

Solve Practice test without bubble sheets:

Candidates should solve previous years question papers by keeping a bubble sheet by their side. This will prepare them for examination. Only attempting 200 questions is not enough for attaining success in the examination. Candidates should practice of filling bubble sheets.

Panicking at the Last Minute:

Candidates should not feel panic at the last rather they should stay calm and check all their answers quickly.

Giving So Much Time to a Single Subject:

Some candidates devote too much time in solving a particular section. This is very wrong as it results in lack of time for solving other sections.

Giving More Preferance to Maths or English:

Candidates sho are efficient in any one subject give more time to that particular paper ignoring the other one. This affects their results drastically.

Devising Shortcuts for Every Question:

The candidates try to solve every type of question through shortcuts. They should keep in mind that learning 100 shortcuts for 100 type of questions can create lot of confusion. So, they should try to learn logic behind the questions rather than blindly following the shortcuts.

Worrying About Posts:

Candidates tend to apply for a job only when they find that there are bumper vacancies available as there are several chances for them for getting selected. This is not really true.

Attempting Till Last Minute:

This will not work and has worked never. It will not change the final result.
