Presently the candidates are in great confusion that whether to prepare for SSC CGL Examination or PGT. To help the candidates in sorting out this confusion, we are going to discuss the difference between these jobs. In all the Government Jobs SSC CGL is the most preferred jobs by the youngsters of India. Still many candidates with passion for teaching and with good teaching skills are getting attracted towards PGT examination.
The separate agencies like Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and others recruit PGT teachers. Aspirants who clear PGT examination are eligible to be appointed as a Higher Secondary Teacher in the schools of Central Government. SSC CGL examination is conducted every year to recruit candidates for various Group- B and Group-C in central government.
Through PGT examination posts of Higher Secondary Schools under central government for various subjects like NVS, KVS, etc. and secondary schools under schools. Independent private schools and schools under states can conduct their own PGT.
KVS PGT Examination is segmented into two sections part 1 and part 2. First part comprises of 40 questions and while second part of 2 comprise of total 160 questions. Both the sections have multiple choice questions. In the case of SSC the entire recruitment procedure is divided into two tiers.
For appearing in SSC CGL examination, the candidates should have at least Graduation degree in any discipline. But for few posts degree in commerce, economics, accountancy is needed. But for PGT examination the candidates should possess Master’s Degree in a subject for which he/she is applying for along with B.Ed. degree. Candidates who clear the PGT examination are eligible to teach up to 12th standard.
