Provisions for Women Candidates:

In spite of several efforts made by the government, the participation women on these posts has not increased significantly. To inspire more and more women candidates to participate in these examinations, government has put several provisions in place. Some of them are as follows:

Fee Exemption:

Female candidates are exempted from paying the application and examination fees for SSC examinations.

Age Relaxation:

SSC also offers certain relaxation in the upper age limit to the women candidates. Widows/Divorced Women/Women judicially separated and who are not remarried(Unreserved/General) get relaxation of 5 years, Widows/Divorced Women/Women judicially separated and who are not remarried(OBC) get relaxation of 8 years and Widows/Divorced Women/Women judicially separated and who are not remarried(SC/ST) get relaxation of 10 years.
