Staff Selection Commission conducts recruitment examination for several posts under different ministries and departments of the Central Government. Aspirants for these posts are recruited through 4 tier recruitment examination. Tier I and Tier II examinations are conducted online and are written examinations. Tier-I examination is easier and contains less questions than Tier II examination. Candidates need to prepare for these two phases together and should go through the examination pattern and syllabus of these examinations carefully. Tier I examination is only qualifying in nature and its marks are not counted for the final recruitment. Tier II examination contains more papers and moe question and the final recruitment is done on the basis of the marks scored in this examination.
Before starting preparation for Tier II examination, candidates must grasp the syllabus and pattern of the examination.
It is advisable for the candidates to start preparing for tier II examination along with tier I examination. This gives the candidates time for preparing for tier II examination. Aspirants, who wait for the examination result of Tier I often fail to complete the syllabus of the examination.
Tier II examination requires more practice and solving previous years' question papers. Solving previous years' question papers boosts the confidace level and accuracy level of the aspirants.
Aspirants also need to take online mock tests to get an idea of the pressure they are going to face to during the real examination and also for getting the exact idea about the examination syllabus and pattern. Through online mock tests candidates will be able to find out their weaker areas and stronger areas of study.
This examination is filtered examination and the difficulty level of the questions is much higher than that of tier I examination.
